§ Mr. David Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give full details of how he intends to carry out the Government's decision to place sanctions on the Ford Motor Company in his own Department and in all other public bodies answerable to him.
§ Mr. Marks:Save in exceptional circumstances of overriding public policy, the Department will not place contracts or invite tenders in respect of Ford products during the currency of the company's excessive pay settlement. I am 644W inviting those public sector bodies for which we are responsible— except local authorities— to take into account the Government's decision in this respect.
