§ Mr. David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will give full details of how he intends to carry out the Government's decision to place sanctions on the Ford Motor Company in his own Department and in all other public bodies answerable to him.
§ Mr. Luard:Except in exceptional circumstances of overriding public policy the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will not place contracts or invite tenders in respect of Ford products during the currency of the company's excessive pay settlement. My right hon. Friend is inviting those public sector bodies for which he is responsible to take into account the Government's decision in this respect.
