Member for Derbyshire, South-East (Mr. Rost) Official Report, 20th November, columns 898–9, by which month in 1979 prices will have doubled since February 1974, assuming that his forecast of an annual rate of inflation of 7.9 per cent, at the end of 1978 proves correct.
§ Mr. HattersleyThe forecast to which the hon. Member refers was, as his question makes clear, related to 1978. It is therefore, not possible to use it as a basis for predictions about 1979.
