HC Deb 04 December 1978 vol 959 c517W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he intends to amend the Preservatives in Food Regulations to take into account the new food applications of sorbic acid; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Strang

Proposals further to amend the Preservatives in Food Regulations 1975 so as to allow a more extensive use of sorbic acid in food will be issued for comment within the next few days. It is hoped to make the necessary amending regulations early in 1979.
