HC Deb 04 December 1978 vol 959 cc549-50W
Sir Timothy Kitson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many Ford vehicles are in official use in his Department; what proportion of all vehicles in operation this represents; how many of these vehicles have been delivered in the last nine weeks: and how many more vehicles his Department is committed to purchase from the Ford Motor Company.

Mr. Concannon,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 1st December 1978] gave the following information:

784, or 21 per cent., of the vehicles which are in official use by the Northern Ireland Office and Northern Ireland Departments, and for the purchase and control of which they are responsible, are Ford vehicles. 30 of these were delivered during the last nine weeks and a further 55 are on order.
