I refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Ormskirk (Mr. Kilroy-Silk) on 31st July. Figures on average waiting times are not collected as they could be misleading, but I am writing to my hon. Friend with the detailed information I have obtained from the regional health authorities.
§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many (a) men, (b) women and (c) children are awaiting open heart surgery and investigatory operations on Merseyside; and what is the average length of time on the waiting lists.
