HC Deb 03 August 1978 vol 955 c693W
Mr. Channon

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has any proposals to extend the private legislation currently in force in Essex and some other counties to limit the licence to practice chiropody to those who are properly qualified.

Mr. Moyle

By virue of the Local Government Act 1972, most of this private legistlation will lapse in the next years; I have no proposals for new legislation in this field.

Mr. Channon

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has any proposals to limit the practise of chiropody except for State-registered chiropodists.

Mr. Moyle

I have nothing to add to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Ealing, North (Mr. Molloy), on 26th July 1977.—[Vol. 936, c.119–20.]
