§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will seek to amend the Gaming Act 1845 in order to permit the issuing of billiards licences, under section 10 of that Act, at a greater frequency than provided for by means of the annual licensing meeting.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe Royal Commission on Gambling has recommended that the Act should be repealed. In considering this recommendation I shall bear in mind the inconvenience caused by the provisions relating to billiards licences.
