Mr. Watkinson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many acres were under afforestation in Great Britain in 1974, and in 1978, respectively.

The areas of productive woodland in 1974 and 1978 were 3.98 and 4.22 million acres respectively.
