HC Deb 02 August 1978 vol 955 c468W
Mr. Robert Cooke

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to announce the Government's decision on the date for the beginning of the programme of stone cleaning and restoration for the Palace of Westminster, following the study and recommendations of his Department endorsed by the Select Committee of House of Commons Services in its Third Report of 14th March 1978.

Mr. Marks

Subject to early approval by the House of the Third Report from the Select Committee on House of Commons Services and to the availability of funds, it would be possible to start in the Summer Recess of 1979.
