§ Mr. OakesMy right hon. Friend is rarely completely satisfied, but encouraging progress is being made at all levels of education towards greater responsiveness to the needs of industry. Steps recently taken by her Department include a letter to all local education authorities inviting them to review the effectiveness of the liaison between their schools and industry, and to consider whether any new steps are desirable.
