§ Mr. John Mooreasked the Secretary of State for Industry what was the gross domestic fixed capital formation in manufacturing industry, less capital consumption in 1977 in (a) current prices and (b) 1970 prices.
§ Mr. CryerFigures for capital consumption in 1977 are not yet available. They will be published in September, together with revised data for earlier years, in "National Income and Expenditure 1967–77". The latest estimates of gross domestic fixed capital formation in manufacturing industry are £4,879 million at current prices and £1,764 million at 1970 prices (see "Trade and Industry", 7th July 1978).
