§ Mr. Trotterasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer in how many cases in 1977 or the latest available year distress was levied by the Inland Revenue in order to recover tax assessed under schedule D; and what was the ratio between this number and the number of taxpayers assessed under schedule D in that year.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 31st July 1978], gave the following answer:
I regret that the information asked for is not available as no separate analyses are kept of the taxes in respect of which a distress has been levied.
