HC Deb 01 August 1978 vol 955 c188W
Mr. Ronald Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what action he proposes to take to maintain a viable piano industry in the United Kingdom by limiting the number of pianos imported from countries outside the EEC into the United Kingdom.

Mr. Meacher

There have been no imports at all into the United Kingdom from South Korea, which I understand is the source the industry is concerned about, during the whole of 1977 or in the first five months of 1978, so it is difficult to see how such a case can be put to the EEC Commission at present.
