HC Deb 01 August 1978 vol 955 c195W
Mr. Lee

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will deport Mr. Sun Myung Moon, who has been subpoenaed to appear before the Fraser Committe in the current investigation into bribery and corruption by Korean interests connected with Mr. Moon.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

Mr. Moon has entered an appeal against a refusal to extend his stay. The Immigration Act 1971 provides that he may not be required to leave the United Kingdom so long as his appeal is pending. I shall consider what action should be taken in the light of the determination of the appeal.
