HC Deb 01 August 1978 vol 955 c305W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many gallons per minute of petrol were used by the various types of military aeroplanes which have taken part during 1978 in exercise over Wales.

Mr. Wellbeloved

I regret that my Department does not keep records of this nature; attempts to estimate the amount of fuel used per minute by the various types of military aircraft flying over Wales would be exceptionally difficult because fuel consumption varies with height and speed for each type of aircraft.
