HC Deb 01 August 1978 vol 955 c231W
Mr. Flannery

asked the Attorney-General if he will list those Acts of Parliament which require people to give information even if it is self-incriminating.

The Attorney-General

It would not be practicable without unacceptable expenditure of the available resources for a single Department to examine every Act of Parliament to discover whether it requires persons to provide information notwithstanding that such information might be self-incriminating.
