§ Mr. Leeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many instances have occurred of persons detained as suspected illegal immigrants being held in prison without either being brought to trial for any alleged offence or being released from custody for periods in excess of three months; and how many of such persons have been held for periods in excess of six months.
