HC Deb 01 August 1978 vol 955 c243W
Mr. Marten

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the United Kingdom will be making a contribution to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association's working capital fund.

Mr. Joel Barnett

Yes. I am happy to confirm that the Government have decided to make a contribution of £100,000 to this fund. Parliamentary approval for the contribution will be sought in a supplementary estimate for the Treasury Vote. Pending that approval, the contribution will be met by a repayable advance from the Contingencies Fund.
