§ Mr. Edward Gardnerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he is taking to reduce the number and to simplify the contents of the statutory forms which magistrates now have to complete with reference to bail applications under the new Bail Act which came into force on 17th April 1978.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesSince the Bail Act and the new forms have been in operation for only one week, it is too soon to assess the new procedures. I shall keep them under review.
