§ 27. Mr. Aitkenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received concerning the Inland Revenue's practice of taxing Arts Council grants to authors.
§ Mr. Denzil DaviesI have received a number of letters on this matter. At present, no action is being taken to settle the tax liability on such payments while the Arts Council obtains further legal advice.
