Mr. Brotherton

(2) whether information on the National Front and the Communist Party will be included in the youth political education programme which is to receive public funds.

Miss Margaret Jackson

Grants of £17,370 and £17,580 have been awarded to the British Youth Council and the National Association of Youth Clubs respectively to develop programmes which are aimed at improving the social and political education of young people. It is for these organisations to decide the content of their programme. My Department will monitor their expenditure.
