§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will review his Department's treatment of women in tax matters, in order to bring it fully into accord with equal opportunities legislation.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 21st April 1978; Vol. 948, c. 384], gave the following answer:
My right hon. Friend has noted with interest the document recently issued by the Equal Opportunities Commission and he will in due course be making known the Government's views on this subject.
