asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) how many persons were convicted of terrorist offences who were either at the time of their arrest serving members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary or Ulster Defence Regiment or formerly serving members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary and Ulster Defence Regiment;

(2) how many members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary since 1960 have been convicted of offences, and, of these, how many were offences which involved violence, namely, assault.
