§ Dr. SummerskillThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that between 1st and 20th April ordinary divisional police cover in Lambeth was supplemented on five days. A total of 3,208 additional officers were deployed, 2,269 of them on 15th April. During the same period 49 persons were arrested for offences arising out of by-election activities.
