HC Deb 24 April 1978 vol 948 cc453-4W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many persons in Northern Ireland in the last year for which the information is available had an income in excess of £7,500 per annum and £10,000 per annum respectively.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

The latest information on incomes in Northern Ireland comes from the Inland Revenue's Survey of Personal Incomes 1975–76. In that year there were about 13,500 incomes exceeding £7,500 and about 4,500 exceeding £10,000. The incomes of husband and wife are counted as one. Income is "total income" as defined in Inland Revenue Statistics 1977, p. 181.

for aerospace matters, the President of SNIAS and senior management of SNECMA. I have invited senior management of Boeing, Lockheed and McDonnell Douglas to visit London for discussion. I will undertake, as appropriate, further discussions with reference to possible European collaborative projects.

I must make it clear that all these discussions are for information and are not in any sense negotiations.
