§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will establish a joint consultative committee on the control of firearms to enable users, the police and other interested parties regularly to consult together on matters relating to the safe custody of firearms in the home and the denying to criminals of access to illicitly obtained weapons.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesI do not think that such a committee is necessary. We shall continue to consult the shooting associations ad hoc on matters of concern to them.
