§ 49. Mr. Bendallasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has received from the Food and Drink Industries Council regarding the zero rating of all food for value added tax purposes.
§ Mr. StrangThe Council has kept us fully aware of its view that all food should be zero rated, and in February the chairman sent my right hon. Friend the Minister a copy of a letter he had written to my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer on this question.
