§ 20. Mr. Molloyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when she now expects to implement the Taylor Report on the governing bodies of schools.
§ Miss Margaret JacksonMy right hon. Friend accepts that there should be better representation of parents and teachers on school governing bodies, and there has been support for this from many of those we have consulted about the Taylor Report. However, differing opinions have been expressed about some of the committee's other recommendations and my right hon. Friend will wish to hold discussions with some of those concerned before coming to any conclusions on the report as a whole.
