§ Mr. Parkasked the Secretary of State for Energy what considerations he has given to obtaining supplies of uranium from Niger until such time as Namibia becomes fully independent.
§ Mr. EadieI am advised that at present it is uncertain that supplies of uranium from producers in the Niger would be available in the period during which contracted supplies from Namibia are required. But investigations into the feasibility of supplies from Niger in the longer term are currently in hand.
