HC Deb 17 April 1978 vol 948 c7W
Mr. Lee

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prosecutions under the provisions of the Race Relations Act have taken place in Birmingham during the last 12 months; how many of them were successful; and how many have been unsuccessful.

The Attorney-General

I have been asked to reply.

There have been no prosecutions for offences of incitement to racial hatred in Birmingham during the last 12 months. Two cases are, however, awaiting trial in the vicinity, one at the Warwick Crown Court and the other at the Rowley Regis Magistrates' Court. There have been no previous cases in the vicinity during the 12 month period.
