Friend's consent is required only for any aircraft or guided weapon development which is estimated to cost British Aerospace and its wholly-owned subsidiaries more than £25 miillion. As and when proposals on such developments are received from British Aerospace, which is examining a number of potential new civil aircraft projects, they will be carefully considered by the Government. This applies equally to the Corporation's proposals concerning the HS 146 feederliner.
