§ Mr. EnnalsThe proposal put forward by the City and East London Area Health Authority (Teaching) was for the change of use, and not the closure, of Bethnal Green Hospital from a partly acute to a non-acute hospital to provide services for the elderly patients from Tower Hamlets within its own health district. The Tower Hamlets and Newham community health councils have agreed to the proposal as modified in the light of their comments.
