HC Deb 13 April 1978 vol 947 c509W
16. Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much of the terrorist activity in Northern Ireland has its origin in the Republic of Ireland.

Mr. Mason

The origin of terrorist violence, whether in terms of planning or execution, often cannot be precisely identified. But the important point, as I told the House on 9th March, is that we build on the existing co-operation between the RUC and the Garda so that terrorism is defeated in both the North and the South of Ireland.
