HC Deb 13 April 1978 vol 947 c476W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he has not so far been able to write to the hon. Member for Woking concerning the review of the question of references on applications for registration and naturalisation, as promised in his reply to the hon. Member's Written Question on 26th October 1977, and in spite of his assurance, in reply to the hon. Member's Written Question on 17th February 1978, that he hoped to do so "very soon".

Dr. Summerskill

I am sorry to keep the hon. Member waiting for a reply, but some of the details of this matter have taken longer to settle than had been expected. I hope to have an opportunity of considering the whole matter further in the near future.
