asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement regarding his recent talks with his fellow Ministers of the EEC and Commissioner Gundelach on 3rd April.

As my right hon. Friend told my hon. Friend the Member for Grimsby (Mr. Mitchell) on 6th April, at this meeting the Council agreed to extend until 30th April the interim fishing arrangements with Norway, Sweden and the Faroe Islands. The Council also agreed to meet again on 24th April to resume the discussions on a revised internal fisheries policy as well as the third country arrangements.
