§ Miss Fookesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will state what geographical area is regarded by the Supplementary Benefits Commission as the catchment area for admissions to the following reception centres: Leeds, Plawsworth, Walkden, Stourbridge, Fazakerley, and Camberwell.
§ Mr. DeakinsThe purpose of reception centres is to provide temporary board and lodging for persons without a settled way of living—that is to say, homeless people without roots. It is not practicable, therefore, to define catchment areas for particular centres.
