§ Mr. Michael Clark Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Employment why he has referred the question of abolition of the Fur Wages Council to the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service.
§ Mr. John Grant, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 10th April], gave the following information:
Because I had received representations that the council was not functioning properly and the trade union representing workers on the council stated that it was no longer needed.
