§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he plans to make available a fund of approximately £21 million for the improvement of tenement property in Scotland; if so, what sums have been allocated to each region and district in Scotland; and what criteria he has used in making this allocation.
§ Mr. Hugh D. BrownCapital expenditure in Scotland on grants to private persons and investment by public authorities on the improvement of houses—including tenements—is now of the order of £100 million annually. I am not clear precisely what point the hon. Member has in mind, but if he cares to write to me I shall be glad to look at it.
