HC Deb 10 April 1978 vol 947 cc330-1W
Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, following the consultations he has had with Her Majesty's Ambassador in Ethiopia, he will now raise in the United Nations Commission on Human Rights the massacres reported in The Times newspaper.

Mr. Rowlands

The situation in Ethiopia has already been considered under a confidential procedure at the 34th meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Commission held in Geneva in February and March. I also refer the hon. Member to the reply my right hon. Friend gave him on 5th April.—[Vol. 947, c.135–6.]
