asked the Secretary of State for Industry what communications he has recently received from the British Aerospace corporation concerning its plans for a new generation of civil aircraft.

British Aerospace has recently asked my right hon. Friend to agree that the HS146 feeder-liner should go ahead. Apart from this, the corporation is frequently in touch with me about civil aircraft options.
