HC Deb 06 April 1978 vol 947 c186W
Mr. Dodsworth

asked the Secretary of State for Transport why he has not yet fully replied to the letter of 14th December from the hon. Member for Hertfordshire, South-West concerning the resurfacing of the Hunton Bridge—Maple Cross section of the London outer orbital route; and if he will undertake to do so as a matter of urgency.

Mr. Horam

I very much regret the length of time it took to reply to the hon. Member's letter. This was due to the complex technical nature of the matters raised. My reply was sent on 3rd April.

Mr. Dodsworth

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will as a matter of urgency provide a transcript of the inquiries relating to the Hunton Bridge—Maple Cross section of the outer orbital route in order to locate the undertaking given about the resurfacing of that route.

Mr. Horam

In my letter to the hon. Member of 3rd April I have suggested arrangements to meet this point. I do not feel that the amount of work involved in providing a transcript of the public inquiry would be justified.
