§ 35. Mr. Palmerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset on the rise in crime in Bristol, particularly as regards assaults in the streets at night.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesNo, since I am aware of the concern expressed by the Chief Constable, and arrangements already exist for me to be kept fully informed of the problems facing the police both in Avon and Somerset and elsewhere.
