Mr. Bean

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are anticipated commencement and completion dates for the construction of the health centre at Walderslade, Chatham; and if he is satisfied that the existing general practitioner and pharmaceutical services will be sufficient meanwhile to serve the expanding population of Walderslade.

Mr. Deakins

Anticipated dates are: start, June 1980; completion, December 1981.

I expect the health authorities concerned to maintain adequate services and have no reason to doubt that they will do so.

Mr. Bean

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the anticipated commencement and completion dates for the construction of the health centre at Princes Park, Chatham; and if he is satisfied that until the opening of the health centre that the local population will be adequately served by general practitioner and pharmaceutical services.

Anticipated dates are: start, November 1979; completion, February 1981.

I expect the health authorities concerned to maintain adequate services and have no reason to doubt that they will do so.
