asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will convene a joint meting between the chairman of British Railways, the chairman of the Price Commission, and himself to discuss the implications of the Price Commission's recent report on passenger fares for future transport policy.

No. My right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection, and I, expect shortly to announce our conclusions on the Price Commission's report on increases in rail passenger fares.
