HC Deb 04 April 1978 vol 947 c101W
Mr. David Price

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, on the basis of the information given by the Government Actuary in Command Paper No. 7091, what would be the estimated cost in a full year of making the mobility allowance available to all registered blind persons.

Mr. Alfred Morris

If a mobility allowance of £10 a week were to be provided for all registered blind people in the United Kingdom, the additional cost would be about £65 million per year.
