HC Deb 04 April 1978 vol 947 cc109-10W
Mr. Kenneth Clarke

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what estimates have been made of the effect of Government-imposed restraints on imports of cotton yarn on the costs of garment manufacture in the clothing industry.

Mr. Cryer

I have been asked to reply.

None. It is considered that any estimate would be misleading as this one item could not be isolated from other costs.
