asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection whether he is aware that Smith and Nephew Ltd. increased its pre-tax profits by 23.4 per cent. in 1977 to a record £17.3 million, with its medical side profits up 28 per cent. to £9.4 million and on hygiene goods up 40 per cent.; and whether he will refer its profit levels
