MorrisDetails of the executive officer and clerical officer posts filled in home Civil Service Departments and certain fringe bodies in each of the last three years from the special recruitment schemes for candidates with service in Her Majesty's Forces or Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service (HMOCS) are shown in the table below. It is not readily possible to identify those with HMOCS experience but they represent only a very small proportion of the total. Some posts in the Ministry of Defence requiring Armed Forces experience are open only to recently retired Service officers and for some open competitions for the Civil Service there are special concessions for applicants with service in Her Majesty's Forces. Details of the numbers appointed under those arrangements are not readily available.
