§ Mr. MacCormickasked the Secretary State for Defence what representations he has received regarding the adaptation of the oil production platform site at Portavadie for defence use; and whether he will examine the site to establish its possible use as a defence facility.
§ Dr. GilbertI am not aware of any representations having been received by the Ministry of Defence on this matter. If an offer of the site were made, it would be considered, but there is no obvious defence use for it at this time.
